Scouting Report The son of former NHL forward Randy Wood has the same kind of speed that his father showed during his 11 seasons in the league. His kin also has good two-way instincts and hockey sense, but it is his speed that can back off opponents and create breakaways. That is his biggest attribute. Plays best in a faster, less-structured system, though he is not a great finisher and still has to improve his play away from the puck.
